Award for high design quality: PARIO receives Red Dot

MUNICH—PARIO, manufactured and designed by METER Group AG, has won this year’s “Red Dot,” an internationally recognized seal of product quality.

The decision was announced 4 May 2018, after the Red Dot jury individually tested and assessed the product. Winners were celebrated at the Red Dot Gala on 9 July 2018, where the Red Dot laureates received their trophies and certificates.

“It is great to receive the Red Dot award for PARIO,” said Thomas Pertassek, product manager at METER Group AG. “The many advantages of PARIO is the measurement time savings by automation and the easy handling.”

PARIO reduces operation time for soil particle size analysis. It calculates the particle size distribution by Stokes’ law, with the range of particle sizes spanning from 63 μm to 1 μm. Operation is automated, so there is no interference by lab personnel. Just set it up and come back six hours later to a finished measurement.

The evaluation process for the Red Dot award spans several days. Only products with high design quality can win over the Red Dot jury. This year’s panel of roughly 40 experts reviewed more than 6,300 objects from 59 countries before making its verdict.

Panelists assessed the products individually based on the original. The strict judging criteria included level of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics and durability. Learn more about the award-winning PARIO at http://go.meter.group/p34370.
